▆ Reporting Parameters: Checking the standard parameter set on large assemblies
Initial Situation: A company wants to analyze the model parameters of its corporate standard across three large assemblies designed at different points in its history. This will provide a meaningful cross-section of data quality between older and newer models.
Considerations:
·Who creates the report? Administrator ⭢ Task list for current model or in batch mode.
·Which parts are to be used for the report? Three large assemblies ⭢ Task list for the current model; group-mode tasks for all model components.
·Which model data are to be queried? All values of the parameters included in the default parameter set. ⭢ Task Report Parameter. The parameter set from the start model can be used.
·Which report type is needed? CSV file, one line per model ⭢ Report Definition
Implementation:
Creating a task list in menu item
1.Create a template for reports in the section Resources selecting the task Report Definition or by clicking the plus icon within a report task.
a.Specify a file name, e. g.:
%env:TEMP%\@date@_MDL_data.csv
b.Select a storage location: When using the Batch Mode, select Client as storage location.
2.Create a group (task Group) in the section Body
a.using the group mode All Model Components
b.using the model filters Assembly and Part
3.Create a task Report Parameter within the group
a.Import the parameter set from the model: To do so, open the default startup model in Creo Parametric.
⭢ All parameter names are imported as a list.
Opening the assembly in Creo Parametric
4.Open the test model in Creo: top-level assembly
Executing the task list
5.Run the report using Run Immediately (F5).
Tip: If you set a global user variable for your company name in the section Resources, the name can be used as a variable in the file name, e. g. C:\TEMP\Creo\REPORTS\@date@_%user:COMPANY_NAME%_MDL.csv. |
