Once you have clarified the purpose of reworking your data, determine which models are to be analyzed or revised. This will guide your decision on which type of data processing is most appropriate.
With GENIUS TOOLS Model Processor (MP), the following options are available for report generation and data processing.

Run task list on current model
Task lists can be run on the model currently open in Creo Parametric. A license for GENIUS TOOLS Model Processor Report is required.
Advantages:
–The fastest way to analyze or revise model data required for a project
–Easy use of group mode
Use Cases:
–Data analysis of assemblies, e.g., to determine how well company standard parameters are maintained
–Execute actions on all components of an assembly
Run task list in batch mode
For analyzing or reworking large amounts of data you can use interactive and automated batch processing is available. If you want to save the changes made in batch mode, a license for GENIUS TOOLS Model Processor Rework is required.
Advantages:
–All parts in a folder or list are reworked.
– No involvement of Creo users is required during data rework. Rework can take place e.g. overnight.
Disadvantages:
–All models must be located in one or more directories or be easily grouped by name.
–Takes a long time, as large amounts of data are reworked at once.
–Not suitable for the continuous updating of model data.
Use Cases:
–To support PDM implementation (existing data, library adjustments, parameter updates, etc.).
–One-time revision of all company data, e.g., when the company name on drawings must be replaced following a company acquisition.
–Data analysis or revisions for models located in one or more library folders
Run task lists on current model in Model Processor User
Users can initiate data processing in Creo Parametric using Model Processor User (MPU). A license for GENIUS TOOLS Model Processor User is required.
Advantages:
–Creo users control the data processing (selection of individual models is possible)
–Fast revision of individual parts and small assemblies
–Faster data revision when working with cross-model group modes
–Best suited for continuous maintenance of model data
–Data revisions can be derived from PDM status
Disadvantage:
–Takes longer to process large amounts of data than Batch Mode C—no use case—K
Use Cases:
–Support for implementing CAD work guidelines
–Ongoing maintenance of model data to keep company standard up-to-date
